I need a long, beautiful evening dress for a concert but I don't have a great budget and will probably only wear it once so I was thinking of hiring one out rather than buying one. I'm looking for average prices for hiring evening/formal dresses...
I was quoted £80 6 months or so ago. I ended up buying a dress on Ebay for £50, wore it and sold it again getting all my money back bar £6!
I need to hire or buy (whichever is cheaper) a really nice dress to wear for when my other half proposes to me.
It can be long or mid-sized. My height in 5 ft 4, so it depends really.

For 20 years, the American flag has waved in the wind outside Magnolia Cleaners in McMinn County. Now, Old Glory's got a new home in the form of pocket squares tucked in tuxedos. "We need to give the people in this country a chance to get this country moving again," says Magnolia owner Michael Priest.
Priest says the 'Made in the U.S.A' label had all but disappeared from his formal wear business, especially the rental end. More and more American companies decided making the tuxes, fit for wear and tear, just wasn't worth it. "We've just noticed over the last five or six years, as all the productions moved off shore, the decline in the quality," says Priest.
You don't have to tell that to Priest's employees. They feel fortunate to earn a paycheck in his repair shop. "That's why I'm working here," says Connie McNabb. "We were working in Monroe County and they moved it all to Honduras.
