ONE FUNNY GUY: At the Seven Oaks One Sweet Affair gala Friday night, yours truly ran into Lt.-Gov. Philip Lee. The Queen's representative confesses he has to deliver about 200 speeches a year, requiring a lot of funny stories in his arsenal so he doesn't repeat himself. And he says, wiggling his eyebrows, he knows all kinds of jokes.

"My daughter tells me if they are appropriate or not," he chuckles. "She's in her 40s."

Leslie Fiorino was out selling draw tickets for a weekend getaway to Grand Cayman, won by Seven Oaks family medicine head Dr. John Moncek's wife Sharon. Profits from this fundraiser are going to their $7-million Access to Care program designed to attract and keep more doctors in north Winnipeg. The big construction area at the front of the hospital will end up being a two-storey atrium, pharmacy, gift shop, food services, waiting area and patient-information centre.

When I saw this jewelry organizer, I wanted it RIGHT away. I also fell in love with so many other things on the Umbra website! Check it out here!  It was only $25.00 and with shipping and everything I believe it only came to around $34.00. It is great because you have over 30 little pockets on one side for earrings, bangles and anything else you can think of and on the other side you have tons of small velcro loops to hold necklaces. I even found space for all my headbands at the top.
