It's been hot out. It's not your fault Halloween snuck up on you. Maybe you received a last-minute party invite or change of plans. Whatever the case, you don't need to hide out for Halloween. Patch found five quick, easy, and inexpensive costumes ideas that can get you through these spooky times and guarnteee you'll receive treats instead of tricks.
1. The classic ghost costume still demands respect and a nostalgic tip of the hat to Charlie Brown. Take a white sheet, cut out some holes for eyes, and drape it over yourself. To help keep your ghost disguise from sliding off, tie a tie around your neck to keep it all in place and masquerade as a dead banker - sure to bring 99 percent more treats this year.
2. Zombies are hot right now. Gather some old clothes, stop by a thrift store or check out Ross for shirts, pants, and dresses you can rip and get dirty. Splatter the clothes with fake blood or red paint. Mix white and black face paint - you can find it at Rite-Aid - and apply to your skin to give yourself the look of the dead - black under eye circles are a zombie's signature feature. Don't forget to mess up your hair. Of course, you'll have to perfect your own zombie walk to really bring the full effect.

Unfortunately for my vain side, there is no treatment for vitiligo. Apparently you can have a good ol’ dose of UV light therapy but it’s not guaranteed to work and while the thought of having a tanned butt pleases me, I am not game enough to go. Something about solariums, UV and the rest makes me nervous and worried about skin cancer. It’s taken quite a long time for me to become comfortable with a physical flaw that is so exposed. I’m pretty meh about it now but there was a period of time where I was considering donning some kind of Burqua because I was convinced everyone was looking at me funny. I even invested in some Thun Luzzie (aka; That Kiwi mineral makeup, Thin Lizzie) but no dice. I’d probably have to walk around in heavy makeup all day and look like a drag queen to cover the patches and RuPaul, I am most certainly not.
