Trick or Treat:

Halloween Party at the YMCA from 2 to 5 p.m. The YMCA will host several special activities, including pumpkin painting, carnival games, face painting, prizes and fun for the whole family. There will also be a costume contest for all ages. The cost per child is $5 and adults are free. Borough of Portland will have trick or treat from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Pocono Mountains Council of Governments has suggested trick-or-treat hours from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. Most of the Monroe County townships and Lehman Township in Pike County have set hours to comply with the suggested date and times. The boroughs within the county have set hours from 6 to 8 p.m. Check with your municipality for their times. For children 12 and younger.

Polk Township will participate from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. Residents who desire to participate are asked to light homes and entrance areas.

As I mentioned last time, wrist corsages are making a comeback. Partly due so some of the changing fashions, but also because there are now so many wonderful ways for the wrist corsage to be attached. If you wanted to add an additional sparkle, you can even get rhinestone and crystal wristlets. Another style that you might want to consider when creating wrist corsages is a bangle or cuff style base. Once again, these can be worn after the event as jewelry and provide an extra special reminder for the mothers of the bride and groom of that very special day.

If both mothers are coordinating their outfits with the colors of the wedding, then their corsages, no matter what style chosen should match the other floral arrangements. If they are not, then you want to make sure to compliment the colors of their dresses but use the same flowers that are in the other arrangements if at all possible....

The shoes are going to be the next problem, you want something nice and probably a satin shoe or leather patent shoe, but you are going to want something comfortable as well. The miniature bride and the miniature groom or ring bearer stand throughout the ceremony and they need something comfortable. You do not want something too tight and something that hinder their ability to walk or stand. The bridal accessories include the headpiece for a miniature bride. You want something that will fit their head properly, but also something light so it does not cause them stress or an uncomfortable feeling. They usually wear a head ring of flowers or a ring of garland. This of course depends on your type of wedding.
